Encopresis
Encopresis is the repeated passage of feces in inappropriate places by a child who is at least 4 years old, whether involuntary or intentional. It most commonly occurs as a result of chronic constipation with overflow incontinence. The condition can cause significant embarrassment and social difficulties. Treatment typically involves addressing underlying constipation, behavioral interventions, and family support.
